Let the elected Governor and Vice-Governor of Isabela be Proclaimed!

It is disgusting that the winning Vice-Governor and Governor of Isabela Province were not yet proclaimed until now. Based on this statement of Fr. Antonio Ancheta (Chairperson of PPCRV-NAMFREL-NASSA ISABELA), the people came to vote and their votes were counted. Hence, it is clear that there are winners and there are losers and there is no failure of election contrary to what is claimed by the losing candidate (please mouse click on this document to make it legible):

Isabela poll execs told to resume canvass, proclaim winner

MANILA, Philippines -- The second division of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the municipal board of canvassers in four towns in Isabela province to proceed with the canvassing of the remaining election returns en route to proclaiming the gubernatorial winner in the province.

The decision, promulgated on June 4, 2007, effectively denied the petition filed by gubernatorial candidate Benjamin Dy, a former three-term governor of the province, who sought the exclusion of allegedly questionable election returns from the municipalities of Tumauini, Delfin Albano, Sto. Tomas and Cordon.

The second division order, signed by election commissioners Florentino Tuason Jr., Rene Sarmiento, and Nicodemo Ferrerm, also required the Provincial Board of Canvassers of Isabela to proceed with the canvassing and proclaim the winning candidate.

Dy’s bid to have the municipal returns excluded stalled the proclamation of reelectionist Governor Maria Grace Cielo Padaca, who believes she won over her opponent by more than 12,000 votes.

Dy's family used to dominate Isabela politics until Padaca defeated him in 2004.

Those Isabela Press Club people who said that DY won instead of Grace are nothing but desperate pseudo journalists craving for DY's money. They are DYmons!

Thanks God. Grace Padaca won. Had the Dys prevailed with their plan to undermine the will of the people, mamamayagpag na naman sila sa pera ng kapitolyo ng Isabela.
